Show & Tell

Updated: Apr 4, 2020

Show and tell is usually the first opportunity young children have to stand up in front of a small group and speak. The opportunity to do a show and tell might come up in kindergarten, or once they start primary school. It is a wonderful introduction to public speaking as children are often given the option of speaking about a topic they know well and are interested in. #Flashback

So why not taking it to the professional-entrepreneurial level? We took that early years experience to one of our LOB Sessions and gave our members and gustiest the opportunity to Show & Tell about their products and services in a fun-relaxed way!!

Speaking about something you love always makes you love it even more!

We think there are many benefits of practicing a show and tell about what you do.. here are a few:

  • Confidence

Practicing public speaking will build confidence in most people. Show and tell is the perfect place to start speaking about something you know or do, and allows confidence to develop in a safe and familiar environment. Practicing public speaking regularly, means it will begin to feel easier as you keep going..

  • Awareness

The process of preparing a show and tell encourages you to consider the importance of a special item and appreciate its significance in different ways. Preparing a show and tell about what you do or what you sell, allows you to think about how it makes you feel, and that will be transmitted to your audience!!

  • Communication Skills

As entrepreneurs we are use to the question "What do you do?" or "What is your Business About?" but having the opportunity to show something while describing it, takes your pitch to another level, you must be creative and involve feelings to communicate in a simple and fun way what you actually do!

Do you remember your first Show & Tell?
